The mighty Tongue 11/21

Saul has tried to kill David again. David went to the tabernacle and made friends with the high priest. Himalic gives him the sword of Goliath. and loves of the sacred bread that belonged to the priests since he had no food. There was no bread in the house of God since the Isrealites weren't tithing or listening to GOd. Make David and Himalite look like traitors to Saul even though David woudl have been his friend. Saul murders every priest in the town of Naab. 86 priests died and every living thing including animals related or in possesion by a priest except for one son who escaped. Doeg was the executioner of them all. David is so angrey at Doeg. that day I knew he would tell Saul.

No where are we safe from Satan's attack not even in the house of God.

Doeg oversees all the King's Sauls flocks. He is an edemite which is an enemy like Islam to Christianity. Why was he in charge?

God wants to take the wheel and put things in your hands when you come to him with empty hands.

You cannot pray and God not answer. 42 days to change his mind for most times in history. If your life is about you you will manipulate the truth. Saints ahve the last laugh. Doeg is going to be punished and evil never triuphs over good. Don't use your tounge to destroy. Vengence belongs to God.

Our toungue can wreck havoc or carve materpieces.

From Weeping to Blessing- 11/14

Jesus was dedicated in the temple.He let the little children come to him and he told everyone that we should receive the kingdom of God like a little child. He blesses them not baptises.

The journey is an experience of itself.

To come out of weeping you need:

1. Repentance- complete change of mind by your actions

2. Responsibility-Don't blame others.

3. Seek God

We find every excuse not to go to church or in God's presence. Get back to haivng a passion to be in God's house. Church is not a fix. We need to seek God like we have never seeked him before.

We should have more God then Tvs, phones and computers. It is not suitable for man to be alone, we were made for relationship to both God and others.

The purpose of confession is to get it out of you so you can heal. Be careful who you tell things to and what you say. God wants you to learn and grow as a person so he won't make it instant but he won't deny you the miracle of salvation.

Being Confronted with a Choice- 11/21

Being double minded is being unstable in your ways

Elijiah was like us in his nature, we can relate to him but he did supernatural things.

Pray earnestly over and over

Ahab and Jezebel were wicked wicked people. God is withholding rain by the prayers of Elijiah to not only punish the King and Queen but to get the attention of the children of Isreal. If God can't get your attention in a spiritual way, he uses a physical way.

He would ask them if the Lord is your God follow him, if Baal is follow him. How long do you hop back and forth. People didn't answer.

Herad liked John but Herodius is telling him other things. (his wife) His wife wants John's head on a platter (his wife is an adulterer) He chooses his wife. Jesus called John the baptist the greatest prophet who ever lived. There is no middle ground. You can't hold on to a little bit of sin. Be hot or be cold, there is no middle ground.

When you stand up for God, Satan has a target on you.

Elijiah replairs the broken altar, which was symbolic of the people. Alters represent dying flesh so they recognize who God is.

When we are under Satanic Attack we don't even know we are under this.

LIke the terroists of 9-11 We are at war with an enemy who wants to destroy us. We are going to war in pajamas and bunny slippers. We have to put on the armor of God.

The ISrealites are God's people. Following Jesus should be a Labor of love. God needs the #1 place in your life.

Sunday 10/7 Changing God's Mind

"If I agree with you, then we'd both be wrong"

" I asked God for a bike but I know he doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness later"

For Critics of the Bible they say that the Bible contradicts itself . Tell them to give you an example.

Praise God when times are good and bad, rain and sun both fall on the just and unjust. You should be perfect, but perfect is defined as you obey the commandments Jesus gives you.

Practice Forgiveness and grace and not Hatred and Retaliation

King Saul had his Kingdom taken and given to David for his evil ways. Dont put God in the same category as man, he cannot lie, so he doesn't need to repent.

God sighed and grieved and said he was sorry he ever made man and says he felt the same way about King Saul. It doesn't implicate GOd that King Saul was a horrible Person. God is not guilty . We can influence God's desicions with prayer. We can change his mind. God is never untrue to his character yesterday, today and forever.

Moses sent to go change his people from being corrupt. God is angry and wants to be left alone. Moses sought a favor and God relented (God was going to destroy them)
