According to parents magazine, if you kid doesn't talk at one it's not much reason for concern, even if they mostly babble until 16 months! Just keep talking to them a lot and engaging them in conversation. You may be too good at reading their signals (this is true! And funny, Boo talked so early, but we never knew what she wanted!)
